Africa’s two representatives at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea are now out of the race. Ghana (Group C) returns home despite its draw against the United States of America. The match was played on November 21, at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby. It was the second draw conceded by the Black Maidens after a missed entry against New Zealand on November 14, 2016 (0-1). Nigeria (Group B), despite two wins against Canada (3-1) and Spain (2-1) had to pack up after the misstep made at the start against Japan (0-6). The competition which began on 13 November 2016 will run up to the 3rd of December.
